To all tapered threads, it is important that the threads are fully engaged to be able to achieve full load capacity. This is no guarantee to use a torque wrench as the threads might be blocked by cement, dirt etc. Much torque cannot be assured that full thread engagement is happened. Automated for high volume production & low labour force by one single process. Apart from other ductility threading process, extra pre-treatment process of pressing & cold forging will be required. Not only time- consuming process, but also dangerous process will be happened. Both of pre-treatment process may damage the hardness & brittleness surface of rebar. Especially the temp-core process Grade 500B rebar. The production rate of frictional press rebar couplers is 3-4 times higher than traditional process of pressing/forging + threading.
